Approved Suppliers

Taygroup work with between 60 - 80 Owner Drivers and small haulage companies under our Approved Supplier Agreement. Unlike other Transport companies, who often use subcontractors merely as a 'top up' to their own fleet, Owner Drivers in partnership with ourselves are core to our business and many have been with us for over 5 years. Earnings average between £1700 - £2300 per week on single-manned vehicles throughout the group; work is available on a 24 hour, 7 days per week basis. Our standard payment terms are 45 days, ie September work is paid on 15th November. We also operate a very popular self-billing scheme whereby work undertaken on week one is paid directly into your account on Friday of week two. There is no need to invoice us as we raise a self-bill, which is sent to you directly. Your only obligation is to return PODs to us promptly. These is a small charge to cover administration with the self-bill option however this reduces after one year. All over our Approved Suppliers contribute £100 per week for access to our trailer pool. This is due to many of our customer working to pre-load situations which enables you to drop and catch, thereby avoiding long loading and unloading delays and thus, maximising your earnings. At certain depots, Diesel, parking (including 'O' licence registration if required), wash facilities and rest rooms are available. All services are offset against payment aiding your cash flow.

In terms of vehicles, preference is given to partners with vehicles under five years old. We prefer units plated at 44 tonnes GVW although we do have partners with us at 41 and 38 tonnes; all of our trailers are tri-axle.
